International Education Week 2024

International Education Week 2024

York University joins education institutions around the world in celebrating International Education Week (IEW) 2024.

IEW is an annual celebration of international education and exchange worldwide that highlights the importance of international education, promotes the benefits of education abroad and global engagement and recognizes the contributions of international students in strengthening intercultural understanding.

Meet our International Students

During International Education Week, we want to spotlight students who are making their global impact here at York University. As we take you through the student journey, from transition to graduation, we want to highlight all the possibilities that await you at York. Join us in celebrating a new student daily from Monday, November 18 to Friday, November 22, and get ready to be inspired.

Finding your community does not need to be exclusive to your campus. With access to Toronto’s downtown core, you can find opportunities to explore culture, meet others and engage in your own culture. As an alum in Toronto, find out how studying at York prepared Kobe for life after university, and what the city means to him.

“Living in Toronto has given me the opportunity to volunteer, make new friends, explore new cultures and stay connected to my own.”

— Kobe Cargill, Actuarial Science ’23, International Student from Jamaica
